Staff Recruiting Specialist

(Location: Any Fisher Phillips USA office location, Job Type: Full-time/Temp, Hybrid or Remote)

Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Recruiting Specialist to join our team. In this essential role, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our services, providing crucial support to our department and all FP offices and departments assigned in delivering exceptional client service and maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Qualified candidate will have demonstrated successful legal support staff recruitment/ talent acquisition experience. Including proficiency using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and online candidate databases. Key responsibilities require excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and time management to be successful.

May need to work hours later than standard hours for time zone to support our West coast offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day recruitment activities, including maintaining resumes and candidate profiles, posting job openings, monitoring the recruiting mailbox, communicating with candidates, and managing the creation and approval of offer letters, conflict checks, and background screenings.
  • Recruit and source candidates, including:
    • Proactively identify potential candidates through Boolean searches and market research. Utilize search tools like LinkedIn and Indeed as well as professional organizations and network.
    • Build and maintain a talent pipeline to ensure a steady flow of qualified candidates.
    • Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and recruitment activities in the ATS.
    • Conduct initial screening interviews and provide interview recommendations to hiring managers.
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
    • Provide regular and consistent communication with hiring managers (and team) and candidates, both responsive and proactive.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs; assist with the development of accurate job descriptions and job postings.
    • Using experience and knowledge of the difference between responsibilities and candidate required skills and experience and potential bias.
  • Train and coach hiring managers (HM) on the recruitment process to ensure consistency and compliance. Regularly meet with HMs to support effective recruitment.
  • Prepare and submit new hire documentation and related onboarding paperwork.
  • Build relationships with new search firms while maintaining and leveraging partnerships with existing firms.
  • May manage and process recruiting invoices to ensure timely payment.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of recruiting experience.
  • Proven record of success with recruiting and sourcing candidates, preferably in a legal or professional services firm.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and MS Office Applications.
  • Preferred: 3+ years experience recruiting for a law firm.
  • Preferred: Experience Boolean searching using LinkedIn Recruiter and/ or Indeed Smart Sourcing or other online resume database(s).

The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $ 90,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
