THE OPPORTUNITY

Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a talented Client Account Specialist to support our firm's needs. As a Client Account Specialist, you will play a key role in facilitating the payment of outstanding invoices. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clients and billing attorneys with reports, copies of invoices, and other necessary documents.
  • Generating monthly reminder statements.
  • Preparing collection letters.
  • Updating the collection database with the status of collections efforts.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Law firm collections experience using Aderant.
  • Review aged A/R and communicate with billing attorneys, billing specialists, and clients as approved by the billing attorney to ensure timely collections of A/R.
  • Proactively manage problematic A/R and work with the collections team, billing attorney, and billing specialist to resolve and ensure timely collections of A/R.
  • Consistently update the collections database with the status of collection efforts.
  • Create clear and concise spreadsheets outlining billing, payments, and outstanding invoices to facilitate payment of outstanding invoices.
  • Assist the billing department with projects and other duties assigned by the Director of Billing & Collections.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3 + years experience working in a law firm as an A/R professional.
  • 3 + years experience with A/R success in facilitating payment of outstanding invoices.
  • EPLI (Insurance) experience.
  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to create and maintain spreadsheets.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of collection software.
  • Knowledge of the firm's business process and business operations.

The hourly rate range for this position is $33.75 - $38.46. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
