Fisher Phillips, a premier international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a skilled and experienced Multi-State Handbook Compliance Professional. In this essential role, you will help ensure the smooth operation of our services, directly supporting our attorneys in delivering exceptional client service and upholding our commitment to excellence.

Position Summary

This position is not an internal Human Resources role.

The Multi-State Handbook Compliance Professional will have the responsibility of leading both state and national projects involving various policy and workplace compliance issues, which may include harassment and discrimination, workplace accommodations, wage and hour, leaves of absence, and paid time off policies for Fisher Phillips' clients. Under attorney supervision, the Multi-State Handbook Compliance Professional will prepare, revise, and/or update client handbooks, new hire and separation documentation, leave forms, management guides, and other policies and procedures specific to their business. Qualified candidates must have 3-5 years of Human Resource experience, plus a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a Human Resources Certificate along with the following skill sets:

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws governing the workplace.
  • Experience in writing and administering handbook policies and working with in-house counsel or outside legal counsel on compliance issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with clients and attorneys.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing documents.
  • Self-starter who is proficient at establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Law firm experience is a plus but not required.

Compensation

The hourly rate range for this position is $34.13 - $42.88. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
