Position Summary

We are seeking an innovative and business-focused Instructional Designer to design and deliver engaging, AI-enhanced corporate learning solutions. This role blends strong instructional design fundamentals with modern digital tools—including Absorb Create and Synthesia AI—to create impactful compliance and professional development programs.

The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on: able to translate business and regulatory requirements into engaging learning experiences using Agile methodologies, multimedia development, and emerging AI technologies. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, attorneys, and cross-functional stakeholders to build scalable, future-ready learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop interactive e-learning modules using Absorb Create, Synthesia AI, and related authoring tools.
  • Partner with attorneys and SMEs to translate compliance requirements into clear learning strategies.
  • Develop action maps, task analyses, branching scenarios, design strategies, content outlines, scripts, storyboards, and assessments.
  • Create multimedia elements including video, AI-generated content, simulations, animations, and interactive activities.
  • Publish courses in SCORM/AICC/xAPI formats and deploy content within LMS platforms.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate branding, accessibility standards, and adult learning best practices.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using data and learner feedback; recommend iterative improvements.
  • Maintain and update learning content to reflect business, regulatory, or process changes.
  • Support ILT/VILT programs, learning pathways, and blended learning solutions.
  • Creation of thumbnails images, certificate of completion, presentation templates, visual resources (i.e. workbooks, job aids), and other design elements to enhance videos.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 4+ years of experience designing corporate learning solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, Agile, action mapping, task analysis).
  • Experience creating design documentation including design strategies, outlines, scripts, and storyboards.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (Absorb Create, Articulate Storyline/Rise, Vyond).
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud sufficient to edit images in Photoshop, adjust graphics in Illustrator, and perform light video editing in Premiere Pro
  • Experience publishing to LMS platforms and managing SCORM/xAPI content.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple stakeholder review cycles.

  • Examples that demonstrate your instructional design process, not just final visuals
  • Any examples of AI-supported learning development, if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience integrating AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Synthesia) into learning design and development workflows.
  • In-depth knowledge of UX design principles and learning experience optimization.
  • Experience with gamification strategies and interactive learning technologies.
  • Familiarity with data analytics to evaluate learning effectiveness.
  • Experience in compliance, HR, or other regulated environments

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $88,000. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, location, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with both the FCO and the California Fair Chance Act (FCA).
